The main task of the system is the monitoring of more than 40 production machines (production, idle time, number of produced pieces/defective pieces, production cycle, etc.), monitoring the fulfilment of individual job orders, preparing a production plan for the specific period (14 days) and generating production reports.

The assets of the information system

  • Immediate review of the job order stages and fulfilment of the production plans.
  • Improving the quality of the production process and the option of documenting it (minimizing the human factor effects, i.e. defective inputs).
  • Punctual indication of faults of the production machines.
  • Simple evaluation of the time chart.

Basic function of the implemented applications:

Planner application

  • The application enables to place the production order in the time plan (Gantt chart), including:
    • transferring orders in time
    • increasing the number of orders
    • monitoring the fulfilment process
    • displaying the job order detail (production time, idle time, produced pieces, suspicious pieces)
    • planning the shut-down for individual machines including weekends and bank holidays
  • Calculation of the job order duration on the basis of planned pieces and cycles.
  • Displaying the process of fulfilling the job orders, i.e.:
    • detail monitoring of the job order fulfilment (batches)
    • listing of events related to individual batches
    • listing of events related to individual machines
    • graphic display of the job order process

Production machine application

  • Automatically collects information from the production machine (in the form of digital outputs).
  • Information such as machine number, machine condition, part number, planned production date, remaining parts, replacement period, last inspection, efficiency per products,etc. is displayed to the operators.
  • It enables to enter the grounds for idle times and gain the inspection records.

Reporting application

  • Production reports are processed by means of MS Reporting services technology.
  • The production reports are available on any network station with installed web browser (Internet Explorer 5.+).
  • The reports can be exported to MS Excel or to PDF, TIFF, BMP and XML formats.

Applied software / hardware elements

  • Data collection from the production lines is resolved by means of OPC communication and newly installed programnable automats Fatek of FBs line - total of 40 pieces
    • Automat Fatek collects information from the production machine regarding the number of produced pieces (good and defective)
    • Automat Fatek collects the production line status signals from the production machine (start/end of replacement/production, switching off, cycle period)
    • Each computer at each production machine includes the installation of our OPC server Fatek.
  • Fitting the standard OPC servers:
  • The main applied database is the MS SQL
  • Application developed on MS.NET platform
  • Implemented dialog for receiving data from the existing ERP system and the attendance system
  • The report is created by means of Microsoft reporting services
  • The application is accessible by means of the web interface with web browser (IE 5.+)
  • Security and the user rights are provided by means of user log in the system by means of his/her own chip card (the same chip card each employee has received for the implemented attendance system)
