In 2005, it was decided that the existing system for production planning and control (RollData) will be replaced by a modern one in Krkonošské papírny a.s. Herewith, also a new ERP system was implemented within the project. The intention was to replace the existing production system by a new one, without any lost of original data, and to connect it with the newly built Deloitte ERP system. Another logical requirement was to reduce the urgent and necessary shut downs to minimum.
The part of the project, intent on planning and control system, was really successful and came up to customer’s expectations. The replacement of the old system by a new one was carried out during one night shift.
